Liked: It was extremely close to King’s Cross station
Disliked: I was never told about a £100 security deposit until I was trying to check in. Also I didn’t find staff friendly or professional at all. The rooms fan smelled as if full of dust and never cleaned. Very very disappointing and won’t be coming here again. Not recommended

Liked: Rooms were very nice for the price, clean, spacious. Very central to King’s Cross, made it easy to get about.
Disliked: Man at reception on first 2 day was very rude. Not helpful, asked to take my card as a hold for a deposit then proceeded to take £100 from my account. Then argued with me that it was not actually out of my account and that it was pending. I explained that it shows on my Monzo banking app that it has come out of my account. He carried on arguing telling me I was wrong and that he knows Monzo very well and better than I do. Unfortunately due to this man we would not return to this hotel as it made our stay uncomfortable as you had to pass by him when leaving and coming back to the hotel. He wasn’t wearing a name badge but I asked another staff member and they said his name was Alistar. Unsure if that is correct or not. All the other staff were really lovely and helpful. The hotel is ideal if you want somewhere clean and safe to stay, I feel that the outside of the building looked very run down compared to what rooms were like. I would also add that if you have any mobility issues or use a wheel chair that this hotel would not be suitable. There is a lift but if you require the use of the lift you must walk down approx 7 steps to get there. Put room was on the fourth floor and the lift only took you to the 3rd floor. So we had to walk up around 25 steps to get to our room.

Liked: The Location is the only good thing im.afraid
Disliked: From check in to check out was just a bad experience. The hallways stank, the rooms smelled of damp. There was pubic hair on my son's single bed when we arrived, towels where torn, the air con sounded like a helicopter we couldnt use. The chrome in tbe toilets where all rusted and dirty, missing tiles at the back of toilet. The room walls where filthy. The hallway carpets where prob worse ive seen. The bannisters kn the stairs where so Dirty. Honestly the worse hotel ive been in this needs a total revamp.
