Affordable Comfort Just Steps from King's Cross

Modern and unpretentious, Kings Cross Hotel London is all about location and convenience. Nestled just 200 meters from King's Cross and St Pancras stations, this no-frills stay is a smart choice for music lovers looking for a clean, central base in the heart of London. With simple rooms, free WiFi, and a 24-hour front desk, it’s got the essentials covered without breaking the bank.

Why Concert-goers love it

Being just a short walk from major transport hubs means you’re never far from your venue—whether it’s a quick tube ride to the O2 Arena or a stroll to a nearby club. Late shows are no problem thanks to round-the-clock front desk service and easy access to night buses and the London Underground. The hotel’s central yet tucked away location also helps keep street noise to a minimum, ideal for winding down after a high-energy night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central crash pad
  • Solo travelers catching a must-see tour
  • Couples on a weekend music getaway
  • Fans who prefer quieter stays after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want more to spend on tickets and merch

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t have an on-site restaurant or bar, you’re surrounded by a huge variety of dining options—from authentic British pubs to around-the-clock international eats. Many local cafés offer late-night snacks, and breakfast spots nearby open early enough to get you back on your feet after a late-night gig.

Nightlife Options

With King’s Cross and Camden Town nearby, you’ll have no trouble finding post-show drinks or live music. The hotel's central location puts you close to trendy bars, classic pubs, and late-night lounges. Prefer something low-key? There are plenty of cozy spots to sip a local craft beer or cocktail within walking distance.

What People Say

Reviews consistently praise the hotel’s location and value for money. Guests love how close it is to transit, making it a breeze to get to and from shows. The rooms are described as clean and basic, with staff often noted as friendly and helpful. Many travelers say it’s a perfect pick for a quick overnight or weekend stay in London.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side, and those expecting luxury amenities might be disappointed. There’s no lift, so be prepared to carry bags up stairs. But for most concert-goers just needing a place to crash, it ticks the essential boxes.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a clean, wallet-friendly stay right near King's Cross with easy access to London's top music venues, Kings Cross Hotel London hits the right note.

Would stay again

Liked: The staff were fabulous and the location was spot on for an early start from St Pancreas but also Nicky tucked away from all the noise of London
Disliked: Could do with a paint job and some minor touch ups

Convenient hotel providing somewhere to...

Liked: Location is great and bed was really comfortable. Really reasonable check out time and friendly staff.
Disliked: Rooms are quite compact and warm which was unlucky with the heatwave this weekend. Shower was slightly broken at the top so we had to keep an eye on that. There was a large damp stain on the ceiling which would be good to paint over.

Very tired and small rooms,...

Liked: Location perfect for an early Eurostar. Staff were very friendly. Cheap for the location.
Disliked: Room was very tired, shower not very clean. Wasn't expecting much for the price and my room wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews, did the job for 1 night though.

A good place for one...

Liked: Well. An old tenement building in central London converted into a hotel with all the advantages and disadvantages that entails. The excellent location is offset by cramped quarters and steep stairs. However, the staff are friendly and asked if they could help me with my luggage. On the plus side, there is a kettle in the room and the WiFi works reasonably well.
Disliked: The responsiveness of replies on booking.com could definitely be improved. Strange shared balcony – maybe there is a way to open the windows differently, so that strangers cannot enter the apartment when the window is open?
