I would recommend staying at Kimpton Hotel Palomar anytime as it is top notch and especially if you're going to walk across the street to the concert hall (Footprint Center).

Disliked: Pool receives no sun light for those that are wanting to enjoy the warm sun at the pool, you will not. Rooms were a bit dated for price and cleaning standard seemed low for price point

Liked: The hotel is located convenient to my office.
Disliked: At check in I wasn't informed about any of the complimentary services (i.e. $10 f&b,EOS..). I learned about it when I inquired about 3 different hotel guest fee charges @$30ea. Dusty drawers,handles,mirror handles. Ripped chair. Slow delivery to the room
