Liked: I had requested a room away from the elevator because my son has Asperger's and if there had been a lot of noise, it would have really bothered him. I also mentioned that we were in P'burgh for his birthday (actually both ours), and not only did we get a room away from the elevator, we got an upgrade corner room which was fabulous!! This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Very clean! Even the bathroom, which is the place other hotels miss when it comes to cleanliness. The staff was awesome too! Very friendly and accommodating. We loved it, we'll be back!!
Disliked: We didn't eat at the hotel at all. The menu had some great sounding dishes, but also complicated. It was freezing outside and we were tired from sight seeing all day and were just looking for something warm and simple. However, we got some directions to the Market Square (?) which was about a ten minutes walk (worth it even though we were tired and freezing) and found a lot of great places to choose from. So it all worked out.

Liked: The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable about the events around the area. Also very helpful with directions.
Disliked: The room could have had a coffee maker at least and maybe a microwave.

Liked: Everything!From the valet, to the front desk to housekeeping the staff treated us like royalty. The hotel was gorgeous, the room spotless and details were so neat. The shower was amazing (we're parents to two babies under two so it's the little things). And we ate at the Commoner twice and it was delicious!
Disliked: Honestly, we have no negative feedback. Our stay couldn't have been better.

Liked: sauces on entrees were delicious, beautiful colors, in keeping with the hotel which has beautifully imaginative decor.
Disliked: people in Pittsburgh seem to like weak coffee

Liked: Early check in was a huge bonus. Staff were incredibly friendly!
Disliked: Reservation process thru booking.com was a nightmare! My credit card was charged, even though it was not supposed to. When I cancelled one of the rooms, it took 2 months and a ton of emails to get a full refund.

Liked: Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the valet, offering to assist us with our bags and asking how our trip was. We went inside and the check in process was a breeze. When the young lady checking us in went into a coughing fit, the gentleman stepped right in to take her place. It wasn't really necessary as I'm patient, but I liked seeing the teamwork. The main foyer isn't that big, but the only time that became an issue was at checkout. The room was beautiful, bright colors but tastefully done. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown so traffic was heavy. The Valet team was more than happy to assist with giving directions and telling us where it was best to walk to vs drive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the service was awesome, (I even got a free glass of champagne at checkout) and the hotel was beautiful.
Disliked: The menu wasn't too impressive. It wasn't the price, but the selection. But honestly, that's not a real complaint. We had fully intended to get out and explore the local restaurants..so it's no biggie.
