Great stay, great hotel

Liked: Well designed, historic building, lot of public area, amazing library of Civil War books- great for History fans. Annate was so kind and upgraded us to the Lincoln Suite which was marvelous. She was also very helpful in providing us with helpful information about restaurants and sites.Free parking just behind the hotel.
Disliked: No elevator... but it's a historic building. I wouldn't expect...

Liked: Location was great, within walking distance of the town square. Staff was very personable and accommodating
Disliked: I was fine with the food, but the wife was expecting a country style breakfast

Wonderful, historic place

Liked: We loved everything about this place! The bed was comfy, the breakfasts were amazing! the house is full of charm, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly! I would come back to this place over and over again!
Disliked: I wish I could have stayed longer!

Liked: The breakfast was a step above the typical hotel breakfast fare.
Disliked: When we arrived, we rang the doorbell for some time before leaving and coming back a couple of hours later. On our return, no one still answered the bell, but after a bit we were able to get in when someone else left. We then discovered that they were having trouble with their doorbell. A sign to text or knock would have been appreciated. Otherwise the staff was attentive and responsive.
