Overall good location clean and...

Liked: Good historic hotel restaurant and bar excellent location very good . Parking good
Disliked: No side tables next to bed no plug in basin bathroom could have done with table or shelf for toiletries to stand on

It was alright

Liked: the breakfast was alright, the location was excellent. the room was spacious and clean
Disliked: I needed to iron some shirts and I missed having one in the room like in other hotels. I'm not sure whether it would have been available on request or at all.

It was a pleasant stay...

Liked: The Breakfast was OK - we were disappointed with the menu in Captain's Table - my husband is lactose intolerant and there was only 1 item on the menu he could eat

Disappointing hotel in need of...

Liked: Great location for Portsmouth historic shipyard Free parking
Disliked: Room very small Bed not double more like 3/4 .Window covered over and not able to open no natural light No hot water for shower despite complaining

It was a great location...

Liked: Location and price. Great breakfast.
Disliked: We had a very difficult time when arriving at the hotel getting in with our luggage and a walker. Doors super heavy. It was very windy. There were stairs and my husband had a walker. The gentlemen at the desk did not offer assistance and we were the only ones there. Upon leaving, a very sweet woman working the front desk helped us with our luggage and taxi. It was much appreciated.Room needs more counter or nightstand surface. There was only one night stand next to bed. Since there were two of us, it would be helpful to have one on each side. I used my husband's walker. The bathroom had no surface space or hooks for our stuff. The shower also didn't have any shelf for shampoo, etc.
