Spacious + decently clean, close...

Liked: Decently clean, spacious, located very close to Cal Poly! Downtown is a 20 min walk, so not bad at all. Great accommodation for a couple or friends.
Disliked: I am not picky with hotel rooms (I have stayed in budget accommodation around the world), and I have never left a hotel room in the middle of the night before, but I did with this one. Did not feel safe as a solo female traveler. Rooms are motel style, which wasn't advertised when I booked (they have since added more photos). When I arrived, the window was broken in my room and when I asked for a new room (because this felt like a safety issue) they were rude and dismissive, but did agree. However, when I returned back to the property after dinner the parking lot was deserted, office closed and empty, and the only other another guest in the entire motel came out of his room and tried talking to me. I decided to leave the property and return later so he wouldn't see what room I was staying in. However, when I returned 30 minutes later he came outside his room again. I felt incredibly unsafe and decided to leave the room without ever staying the night, booking another nearby hotel. There was no 24/7 security or hotel desk check in, and the motel was clearly not very full. Not necessarily the property's fault, but I'm upset at how they handled it. I received no refund for subsequent nights I had booked, despite returning the next morning to explain the situation and contacting booking.com. I understand they can't do anything about the first night, but it would have been nice to have been refunded for the second night. This would be a perfectly fine stay for a couple or friends but solo travelers stay away!

Clean & Reasonable for a...

Liked: We needed a cheap place to sleep for literally 9 hours, and this works just fine. Room was clean, sheets were clean, bed was comfy. My only complaint was upon opening the door to our room, the smell of bleach was pungent so I had to sleep with our windows open for some fresh air. But I am hoping that means they cleaned it real good for us :-) The property was very quiet all night.

Liked: Nice place to stay; you can walk down Monterey Ave to reach the center of SLO in 15 to 20 minutes.
Disliked: The motel is nice, but the walls are really very thin, you can hear every noise persons located in the room next to you or above are producing. In my case, there were people in that played music loudly after 1 am in the morning. This was very disturbing.
