Good
Liked: Ideally situated
Disliked: Was told room recently refurbished. Raised tile in bathroom dangerous. Brickwork effect tiles in bathroom and laminate flooring made the room look cold. Restriction on window opening as on 2nd floor, but kept closing! No fan in room. Bathroom floor tiles felt loose.

As a solo guest it...
Liked: It is situated right near to where I wanted to be, so made it very easy for me to catch up with friends who live close by. The shower was great, couldn’t fault it!
Disliked: Could hear neighbouring rooms TV,s and inconsiderate people making a noise late at night in the corridors, but can’t be helped I suppose. The pillows were a bit flat particularly one which should have been binned. But overall it was a pleasant stay and my second time there, and I’ll be booking a room there a couple of times next year!

It's really, really comfortable. Can't...
Liked: Exceptionally comfortable room. Very comfortable bed, room was quiet and dark (I'm a very light sleeper, but slept until my alarm). Good en-suite, very clean, all functioning well. 24hr check-in and parking too!
Disliked: It wasn't visible from the road - it took a few minutes to find. Nil else.

It was about £400 for...
Liked: The location was perfect with easy access to the motorway and other routes.
Disliked: I didn't like the parking tickets I had - each for £100. It is the first time I have been asked to get a parking permit at any hotel I have stayed at. Regrettably, I thought the permit was needed by non residents of the hotel and so ignored the sign. The reception staff gave me no warning about ignoring the signs. If they had, I would have registered and saved £200. Why there is no system to ascertain whether or not a car belongs to a hotel user and automatically append a permit to their car I don't know. I'm sure Ibis/Ibis staff is aware of this and should bring it to the attention of users of the hotel when booking in.
