Disappointing

Good location but otherwise disappointing

Liked: Location was good, easy to get to most of ParisBreakfast was nice
Disliked: Room was very smallSound proofing was quite badDoor would not lock unless you slammed it shut, which I only learnt after one or two days. Also because you have to slam the doors to make sure they lock you'll constantly hear other doors being slammed through the night

Great old building in Central...

Liked: The soundproofing in the hotel generally was poor and there was noise from other rooms and from the outside. However I was out most of the time and I still managed to get decent nights' sleep so not a big issue for me. Best to bring earplugs! I do appreciate that it is an old building and that it is not possible to make improvements.The room was small, but as mentioned, it did not make any difference to me being a single traveller who was out all the time.A kettle and tea/coffee in the room would have been a nice touch though .
