2 night stay

Liked: The reception area is very modern . And we was greeted nicely by a lovely man on reception who explained everything we needed to know and advised us of what bus to get to get to central the quickest . He also advised us on avoiding the local taxis as they would know we were tourists and rip us off . The room was pretty basic but we didn't mind as we would be out most the time .We asked if we could possibly have a fan which was dealt with straight away and brought to us. We liked that there was a 24 hour snack station downstairs with lots of different drinks and snacks that you could take to your room. They also had a bar in reception and umbrellas for hire if needed.Location was great for bus and metro and the number 22 takes you straight into central easy tap on and tap off.
Disliked: The lighting in the room could be better it was pretty dull and we needed the curtain closed when getting ready as there was no net curtain and our room was facing a car park. There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room which I feel should be as standard. We also were rudely awoken by building work going on outside which I feel customers should be made aware of this before booking.On our last day we got stuck in bad traffic on the bus which was packed. We were panicking we was going to miss our train to the airport . When we arrived back at the hotel to get our luggage there was nobody on reception but there was 2 staff stood at the bar. I looked over and shown my ticket to let them know I needed my luggage. (At this point I'm panicking as we really needed to leave) . I went over and said I'm really sorry to interrupt but is there any chance you could please grab it for us quickly as we may miss our flight . The lady then rudely rolled her eyes at me ... Snatched my ticket off me ..stormed off to the luggage room , swung and banged the door open and snappily asked which bags were mine . Considering how nice the first man was on arriving this put me off staying there again.

Great location and facilities for...

Liked: The location was good. Near both bus station and metro station. Easy to commute to city and airport.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about but it would be nice to have face towels also.

Poor

Liked: I liked the place, which is 15 minutes to the city center. And the Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The cleaning was so bad that we were expecting. It doesn’t worth the money. We stayed for 2 nights, and on the second night, we noticed that the duvet on the bed was dirty and appeared to have vomit stains. Although the duvet cover had been changed, the duvet itself was not clean. This was extremely unhygienic and upsetting. Additionally ,the washbasin and the toilet were not clean. I stayed with my husband 2 days. Second day we demanded the cleaning. They only have changed the towels. They didn’t clean the toilet and washbasin and room. 242 euros per Night! Doesn’t worth to STAY!

Value for money

Liked: Clean and quiet, not far from the city center by Uber that was cheaper for family of 4 compared to the price for public transport.

Overpriced city

Liked: Modern looking hotel with a comfortable room. Lucky to have free parking on the Saturday out the front. Staff were lovely and spoke perfect english.
Disliked: Amsterdam is a beautiful place. We just felt cheated throughout, the city is overpriced, and the hotel was expensive for what would normally be a £80 room it didn't even have a kettle in the room. Don't get taxis €40 for 10 minute drive. Wouldn't return to Amsterdam.
