Hyatt Place New York / Chelsea

This hotel is an excellent...

Liked: The room with a King bed was spacious enough for me and my teen. The bedroom and bathroom was immaculate and well appointed with a desk and small closet. The bed was very comfortable. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had a lot of variety. The on-site fitness center was well equipped. The location was great. There is a Whole Foods down the street if you need some snacks and plenty of restaurants in the area. We walked to Chelsea Market and the High Line. The subway was close and we easily rode to Upper East Side, MidTown Manhattan and Soho. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again without hestitation.
Disliked: Our mini fridge did not get cold so we ended up wasting some food. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't have time to report it but I'm sure the hotel staff would have made it right.

Liked: Everything was amazing in that hotel. The photo attached is the view from my room, we loved it.
Disliked: I would like it to have a pool, but other than that, it was amazing place.

Disliked: Elevator takes a really long time to arrive. Make sure to account for this, especially if you are short on time.

Liked: The property was in great location to everything. Great food all around. Room was great on the 43rd floor Skyline View. (Pictures attached). The free breakfast was what you expected from a hotel. I would rate it about a 7 out of 10. I also like that you could crack the window in the room from that high.
Disliked: The rooms were great overall. I booked the double bed skyline view. Not much walking room between the wall and the bed. That is really the only issue.

Liked: The hotel is nice and the view from the upper floors is really niceThe staff was very kindThe hotel is 12 min away walking from Penn Station and 25 min away walking from Times SquareThe breakfast is not great but not terrible. We always found something to eat
Disliked: The waiting time for the elevator; the most I waited aprox 15 min to go down. To go up is not an issue but to go down it might be possible to wait some minutes in the crowded hours

Liked: The king room was small but it seemed comfortable. It was very clean. Everything worked and the breakfast was excellent with nice options.
