Hyatt Place Lincoln Downtown Haymar

We will be staying at the Hyatt Place Lincoln Downtown-Haymarket whenever we stay in Lincoln.

Liked: The beds were comfortable. Room was nice and clean. Able to turn air down and room was cool the way we like it. Great location to everything. Excellent view from our window to the Railyard. Also, the breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: N/A

Helpful desk; nice, new looking hotel. They were accommodating in helping us find restraints, looking up the weather, telling us how to use the garbage. I would give a higher rating if it wasn't for the housekeeping incident. It would have helped if the front desk had offered a discount on our bill.

Liked: Good clean rooms.
Disliked: Housekeeping walked in on us before noon which is checkout time. The rep knocked once but didn't wait for our response and came in while I was getting dressed. Very embarrassing.

Front desk dude was rude. Since when is a phone call more important than the people standing in front of you? If you have to answer the phone, you should put that person on hold until the guest in front of you is fully checked in. He put the phone on hold for less than a minute so he could give me my key and then went straight back to the phone and apologized to the person on the phone. He didn't even apologize to me for having to take a call or anything. He was very rude and unprofessional. Parking is an additional $10. That hotel room wasn't even worth the ~$165 I paid for it. The bathroom had clearly been used before I even got into the room. There was a wet washcloth sitting on the sink, hand towel had been used, and one of the bars of soap was out of the package and stuck to the sink, meaning it had also already been used. I called the front desk and they sent up a maid to clean the bathroom. She was very nice but ended up leaving the used bar of soap on the sink. When I went to check out the next day, the lady at the front desk was very nice and professional. She's the only reason I didn't give the hotel a "Terrible" rating.

Liked: The lady at the front desk when I checked out was very nice and friendly.
Disliked: The man at the front desk when I checked in was very rude and didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. The bathroom in my hotel room had been used before I got in it.

We would recommend staying.

Liked: Very friendly staff; clean facility; continental breakfast was good; easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping in specialty stores.

Liked: Great service and very clean.

What can I say - we were only there one night, to see Fleetwood Mac at the Pinnacle. The room was excellent; the staff was very accommodating; the parking garage was great; the small lounge area alongside the front desk was well run and the people working there were friendly and fun. Some of our friends came over and ate before the concert and their food was great! We were upset we didn't eat there ourselves earlier. What else can I say? Will we go back? No doubt, can't wait!

Liked: Everything.
Disliked: A hot tub would be nice, but we had so much fun I didn't even notice there was not one!

Loved the location and rooms; missed a hot shower.

Liked: Nice hotel; nice rooms.
Disliked: No hot water the night before or next morning.

All in all, the hotel is very nice - nice rooms and good breakfast. But my only complaint was that the water never got above lukewarm in the morning when we went to shower. If you spend over $200 on a hotel room, I feel you should be able to take a hot shower in the morning!

Liked: Nicely furnished and in Haymarket area in Lincoln.
Disliked: Cold showers in the morning.

Great hotel with amazing staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful - made our stay great.
