The Spotlight on Hyatt House Jersey City

Comfort Meets Convenience Just Across the River

Modern and residential in style, Hyatt House Jersey City sits in the lively Exchange Place district, just a quick ride from Manhattan’s top concert venues. With its full-suite accommodations and skyline views, this hotel blends apartment-style comfort with hotel convenience—perfect for music fans looking to explore NYC without staying in the chaos of midtown.
Just 591 feet from the PATH train and 1312 feet from the NY Waterway ferry, you’ll be crossing the Hudson and dancing in your seat in no time.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and this hotel nails it. The PATH train whisks you into downtown Manhattan in minutes, so you can catch a show and be back in your suite without the late-night subway hassle. The vibe is relaxed, making it an ideal retreat after loud crowds and flashing lights. Flexible check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 12:00 PM gives you time to unwind before or after the show. Plus, with 24-hour amenities and free WiFi, you’ll stay connected and comfortable no matter how late the encore runs.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for spacious suites with kitchens to share
  • Solo travelers attending a dream show in NYC
  • Couples wanting a stylish weekend base with skyline views
  • Fans who prefer peace and quiet after the noise of the venue
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking NYC access without Manhattan prices

Food and Drink Options

The rooftop H Bar serves up evening cocktails and small plates with stunning views of the skyline—perfect for a pre-show toast or nightcap. There’s also a 24-hour Guest Market for late-night snacks, and full in-room kitchens if you’d rather whip something up. Breakfast is available, making mornings after a late night a little more bearable.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel is more relaxed than rowdy, the rooftop lounge offers great vibes and city views. For more action, hop on the PATH and explore nearby NYC neighborhoods like the Lower East Side or West Village, brimming with bars, lounges, and live music spots. Closer to home, Jersey City’s expanding nightlife scene offers hidden gems just a short walk away.

What People Say

Guests consistently rave about the location and accessibility to NYC, calling the PATH and ferry proximity a game-changer. The city skyline views from the rooftop and rooms are another highlight. Travelers also love the spacious rooms with full kitchens, saying it feels more like an apartment than a hotel—ideal for longer stays or groups.

Areas for Improvement

While many love the quiet vibe, those seeking a party atmosphere may find the hotel too calm. The breakfast selection can feel limited for some, and parking in the area can be pricey and tricky—though that’s expected this close to the city.

The Bottom Line

Hyatt House Jersey City is a smart, stylish choice for concert-goers who want quick access to NYC’s music scene, but a quiet, comfortable place to recharge after the show.

Would easily recommend to somebody...

Liked: I loved how clean the room was and everything that was available to me.
Disliked: Unfortunately, despite being located on the water, the view immediately outside in the window was directly facing another building, but ultimately that didn't impact anything regarding the reason why I stayed.

Good location with great views...

Liked: We were 2 couples travelling together and stayed for 3 nights at the Hyatt House New Jersey. The location of the hotel is directly at the Hudson River banks in New Jersey and has a great view of Manhattan. There are only a couple of steps to the Subway and a 3min walk to the Ferry station that crosses the river into Manhattan.Directly in front is a tram station that runs in the New Jersey and makes some noise (ringing bells) while arriving and departing the station. The hotel rooms are located only in the upper floors of the building and on top is a bar/terrace that has great views of the Manhattan Skyline especially at night! Our rooms were located on the same floor but had different views and layouts despite the fact that we paid the same. Our room was quite good with a separate couch at the window and looked out to the plaza below. Our friends room was tiny and only as big as the bed and had no place to open a suitcase f.e. They looked out on the front road with the bell ringing tram station. Bathrooms were the same size.Staff was friendly and breakfast selection was ok.
Disliked: As mentioned before the really small room of our friends gave the impression to stay in a shoebox and to top that, they had a group of party animals next door that did celebrate, drink, chat, sang and used the room as open house party zone (front door was open all night and people went in and out 24/7 for 2 nights. They had no chance to sleep and talking to the party people and front desk did not help at all unfortunately. These guys just shot the door and ignored any complaints. The furniture in the rooms is quite dated and carpets and couch had lots of stains. Breakfast is held in a area below the top bar and - if someone is lucky - tables with view of Manhattan and Hudson river. Since this is only a small area with few seats, others have to sit in an inside conference style room with regular tables or couch sittings. Not easy to get a clean table if you want a decent time for breakfast.
