Liked: It’s a nice enough hotel. The standard king was spacious, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was also amazing. Lots of places within walking distance and the train was 2 blocks away.
Disliked: The staff who checked us in was rude and unwelcoming. We were greeted with indifference as if he were annoyed by our arrival. As I handed over my card to pay at check-in, he began swiping WHILE informing me that he was adding the incidental fee. Of course I expected to pay one, but usually a) I’m told how much it is and b) asked if it’s ok to use the card to pay. I had to ask him how much the incidental fee was. He said $300 and swiped my card. It wasn’t about being able to cover it, it was about him not being courteous or considerate of me. That was very annoying. I said I didn’t realize your incidental fee was so high. He said “Oh yeah Booking.com would not have had that information on their site.” Ok… The rest of the staff over the weekend were very kind and helpful. The only other issue was the room temperature. It’s set at 65 degrees and you can’t change it, so you were either frozen solid or having to turn it completely off and waking up sweating. The fan they had in the room was helpful, but that was another annoying thing.
