Howard Johnson by Wyndham Houston Heights/Downtown

Liked: Clean room; friendly staff.

If all you are looking for is a bed and a shower, then this is it. I am not one to be super special about hotels. My sister didn't enjoy it very much since the shower was clogged and the restroom was old. Our parent's got us used to better places and she is a brat. I didn't care - if you need to rest and won't be spending much time in a hotel then this is a place. Very near to Tinsley Park. Friendly staff. We didn't get breakfast there.

Liked: Well, my sister and I knew it was going to be no 5 star since we are not picky and just needed a bed. So that is exactly what we got.
Disliked: Found condom under the bed :(

I was in town for a concert and the staff at this location treated me very well - they were very friendly and answered any questions I had. As a young female I was nervous about staying in a city I knew nothing about, but this Howard Johnson is in a safe area which put my mind at ease. It was literally right off the highway making it very easy to find, another very big plus. The biggest plus of all was the price. I was worried because the prices were very affordable that the hotel might have some problems, but my stay there was very clean and the property was very well maintained. I will definitely be staying here again if I am ever in the area. Thank you Howard Johnson!

Disliked: Breakfast ends at 9:30.

We were very satisfied with the service, also it is near downtown and the Toyota Center. It was very clean and the room was fitting to the basic needs. Overall, we'd stay there again.

Liked: Very good service; staff always nice. The room was clean and well accommodated.
Disliked: The lobby/breakfast area was not up for many people. Small space.
