Howard Johnson by Wyndham Evansville East

The room was very clean - had a mini fridge, coffee maker, coffee, cups and lids, sugar and creamer as well as a microwave. I would recommend Howard Johnson by Wyndham East Evansville for your next visit. Hotel was conveniently located to our venue and shopping.

Liked: Greeted with a smile and welcomed. Check in was quick and efficient; good directions to our room were given.
Disliked: The water pressure low in shower.

Disliked: I am still amazed that I have to go through the Philippines to make reservations in the USA. I would much prefer talking directly to the staff where I will be staying.

Disliked: One of our rooms smelled musty when talked with staff said there was no one to take care of the problem after we checked in and would have to take care of it the next day nothing was done room smelt the whole time we were there.

Liked: I made the reservation easily
Disliked: It was dirty. We had to change rooms. Got in my new room and the tub was dirty with soap residue and hair. Got into bed with a snack but lost my appetite when I had to kill a roach on the side table by the clock. I had asked over a week prior to our reservation to cancel. They refused Booking.com’s request AND my request. There was flooding en route and i wanted to change routes and not go through Evansville, taking undue risks with my elderly parents. But no, it was denied. We never spoke to the manager and staff at the hotel was extremely rude and heartless to elderly guests who just drove 12 hours. Do not stay there!

Disliked: PET OWNERS BEWARE I'm extremely angry. I brought my dog with me to the hotel and paid the fee. When we were not in the room, she was in her travel kennel. Keep in mind it's been two weeks now; they are trying to say that she caused damage to an end table. She was never alone. Showing me the "damage" pictures weeks later is absurd and just shows me she was not the one to cause it. On the off chance she indeed caused the damage, it was noticeable, and we would have said something we are honest people. She has never chewed furniture, nor is she a rowdy breed. I feel definitely scammed just because I had a pet, and to tell me this little old end table was a 1000 dollars is a joke.
