Liked: The room we ended up in was ok but it wasn't what we booked - the hotel were helpful with refunds etc but overall it was a frustratingly disappointing stay
Disliked: The room we booked was lovely and just what we wanted - but it had a strong drain-like smell so we had to refuse it - the hotel should not have let out this room without sorting this problem

Disliked: Was unable to use the fireplace even for ambiance at night as the fireplace would not function due to warm temperature outside.Pool closed for the season on our second day without notice when we checked in even though the daytime temperature was 27 deg Celsius.Paying for facilities that we couldn’t use.

Liked: The location is superb.
Disliked: Not enough communication about "amenities" - for example, we only accidentally discovered we had a discount with the boat trip on the lake when speaking with the boat company. We had tried to cancel our booking.com reservation to book directly with the hotel but were not able to hold the same room we'd already reserved ... would have preferred direct booking. It wasn't clear about breakfast included or not included. There was some suggestion that the room price was the same with or without breakfast but then we had to pay extra.
