Staff was great, but the room was really warm and the bathroom sink has no place to rest your toiletries while getting ready.

Liked: Near the Theatre District.
Disliked: No fridge or coffee in the rooms.

We stayed at the Hotel St. James for one night while we were in NYC to see a performance at 54 Below. The location was great (a few doors west of 6th Avenue on 45th Street). The room certainly met our needs -- clean, comfortable bed, quiet, reasonably priced (for NYC).

Great location, great people, great...

Liked: This was by far one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. The bathroom actually shined, I had to personally compliment the housekeeping staff. Front desk people were also incredibly helpful and nice. The bed was comfortable, neither too soft or too hard. The location was great for me and easy to get to a family members as well as walking the area.
Disliked: One of the elevators had an issue as well as my TV, things, that could happen at any hotel. These did not bother me, as the other elevator was working and I was assisted with TV by front desk. I would definitely stay again!
