Liked: Location was awesome, close to shops and right in front of Hop on Bus stop. Picked hotel based on price, friendly owner, clean bed & towels
Disliked: No aircon, no shelf in bathroom, not even a soap holder

Liked: check in was fairly easy.WiFi was consistent.
Disliked: I have stayed at this hotel before, so I knew that the hotel was fairly basic.HOWEVER... the absolute stench that came from our room was unacceptable. When first entering the room, the smell of bleach was overpowering. In the following hours, it became obvious that the bleach was trying to disguise whatever was going on in the sink. This smell was so bad that I had to go across the road to a restaurant or Paddington station to use the bathroom. This is absolutely not acceptable.Despite ringing the reception bell numerous times, no person ever appeared to speak to me about the issue. However, the cleaners informed me that management were very aware of the smell from room 201 and that they don't know what it is. So the solution was to clean extra well and use bleach.To be clear... until this is rectified, no guest should ever be given room 201.
