Disappointing. Would not return. Far...

Liked: A room was available at short notice.
Disliked: I stayed in the old building. Ash tray full of cigarette butts at the rear entrance, so you were met with a strong smell of ash. Neighbours’ property right next door is a mess. Dangerous step right outside the door of room 7, bad if you are carrying two bags. Frayed towels in bathroom (one of the staff found this amusing when I told him). Nice room although old decor, poor views onto neighbours’ mess. Outdated 80s-style bathroom. Only one pillow. Poor food. Soggy salad starter including iceberg lettuce and overcooked beans. Steak was fried in too much oil and just left on the plate with one piece of lettuce. Sliced potatoes were dripping in oil. Chocolate pudding was good. When I went to drop key off, one of the owners told me ‘you pay now’ rubbing her fingers together, not posed as a question. I thought this was rude. They speak good enough English to have said ‘would you like the bill?’ Breakfast was fine, nothing special.

Liked: Last Saturday, I attended a friend's wedding in Erbach and stayed at the charming, family-run Hotel Zur Linde with my wife and two young daughters. The hotel, meticulously maintained by a delightful elderly couple and their son, provided a warm and homey atmosphere, exceptional service, and spacious, well-kept rooms. Their outstanding hospitality, including a free ride to the wedding hall and a delightful breakfast, made our stay unforgettable and deserving of a perfect 10-star rating.

Not worth the money in...

Liked: The owners were very nice and professional, the breakfast plenty and a big variety of quality food was offered. The hotel location was easy to find and sufficient parking slots were available. The bathroom and bedroom were clean.
Disliked: Only issue was the room, which was located under the roof, without A/C. Due to the high outside temperature during the day it was very warm in the room, also during the night, so that we did not sleep much. Neither the small ventilator nor keeping the window open during the night helped. The room was offered as family accommodation, but it was too small for my wife, our two daughters (7 and 12) and myself, which likely contributed to the high temperature in the room during the night. From my perspective, such a room should not be rented out, at least not for more than 2 people during summer.

Liked: The hotel has modern, luxurious rooms, where all amenities are met.One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast buffet. It was well-taken care of and delicious.The staff was also exceptional, providing service with a smile. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a really enjoyable experience.

A nice place for an overnight with excellent value.

Disliked: Restaurant next door was closed on Saturday and Sunday. Other dining options were not close by.
