Great customer service. Very friendly staff. I would stay here again.

Liked: Hotel staff was professional; very prompt customer service; definitely an old time feel to this motel.
Disliked: The lighting in the room was very dim, giving the room a gloomy feel. I am one who likes things lit up.

We were updated to executive room for waiting. The bed seemed small. Did not like putting up a deposit for anything I might order. Close to Midland Theater - nice to walk there.

Liked: Couch; desk help was good. Beautiful place.
Disliked: 1 cup of coffee in the room. Door heard slamming in the hallways.

Booked this hotel because it was downtown, within walking distance of Power and Light District and Kansas City Music Hall. Great choice - you can definitely feel the history in the whole place. Beautiful architecture. It was a small room and bathroom but didn't spend much time in the room anyway and it was clean!

Liked: Location, color scheme was great. Curbside appeal was not good, dirty windows, covered in some odd paper, the black paint was filthy, cigarette buts.

The air/cologne smell pumped in the bar and lobby was so over whelming, it gave us both headaches. Our mattress was older, not good support anymore.

Liked: The room was very nice and clean, the bed was great and bathroom too. The room was also very quiet and you only had to walk 5 minutes to the power and light district which was very handy.
Disliked: We had to give our credit card information during check in and they charged an extra $26 dollars while we didn’t spend anything. We had to cal and it took a week before we got it back so just make a double check to see if they didn’t charge you extra.
