Great value stay in the...

Liked: An older hotel. Single beds, small bathroom. No restaurant. But what a location! Right on the main square at the top of Las Ramblas near a subway stop. The beds were great, good pillows, even a small walkout patio.The staff treated us like family giving us travel tips, restaurant advice, and generally made us feel welcome everytime we walked through the door.
Disliked: It was hard to find at first. But now we know it literally shares an entrance way with McDonalds.

Liked: Best thing is it is great value for money. It's the cheapest hotel I've stayed in at Barcelona that is not a dump - When booking and seeing the cost, I was wary about what I would get but this exceeded my expectations. I felt safe and well looked after, staff were friendly and chatty, the room was clean, and the location is excellent.
