Too hot don’t book

Liked: Doesn’t matter how nice the hotel is you can’t possibly stay in it as it is a massive sealed glass box with no ventilation and no air conditioning. It was like being inside a microwave.
Disliked: No air conditioning and staff pretending this isn’t a problem. And if you look on trip advisor this has clearly been an issue for months.

Disliked: The room was a sauna, no windows to open, no air con, fans that were pointless. Uncomfortable

Liked: Fabulous location
Disliked: The air conditioning wasn’t working. Although two fans were put in the room, we were not informed of this and the room was unbearable

Hot stuffy but great location

Liked: Location. Clean apart from carpets
Disliked: Advised us that air con was broke 1am on the day we were arriving. From reviews it had already been broke for over a month. The fan provided wasn’t powerful enough to generate any breeze.

Broken Air-conditioning. Not suitable for...

Liked: The breakfast was decent with a filling portion size and the location is convenient.
Disliked: The AC was out in all the rooms and in the middle of a 30+ degree heatwave this was extremely uncomfortable as the design of the building and the carpeted interior really traps the heat. We both ended up resorting to cold showers to be able to tolerate the temperature over night but even so we slept very little as the provided fan did nothing but move around hot air. We were not informed of this issue when checking in and didn’t find out about it until being hit by the heat when opening the door to the room. As noted in another review I was not asked how my stay was when checking out, which is pretty unusual for a fairly expensive hotel but since this appears to be an ongoing issue I suspect the staff avoid this question as they know most if not all guests will have struggled to have a comfortable stay in these conditions. It’s a shame because the hotel itself is nicely designed and would be a nice place to stay if this problem were addressed.

Poor

Liked: Location was great for convenience, very close to the bullring.
Disliked: AC was not working and windows could not be opened. We had 2 fans left for us in our room which helped slightly however, did no more than blow hot air around so the room ended up incredibly stuffy. Especially with the high temperature of 30+ degrees on the day of our stay. Wouldn’t recommend in the heat unless they fix the AC!

Good location. Easy parking.

Liked: Perfect location to see Jeff Lynne’s ELO final concert. Easy to walk along the canal path. The Mailbox for parking was very accessible. Staff worked hard under trying conditions.
Disliked: Aircon failed. Was switched to another room for second night. Heat wave weather.

Too hot, no air conditioning

Liked: Restaurant for breakfast was nice and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating
Disliked: No air conditioning in the room, in 30 degree weather all there was in the room was a fan which didn’t help cool the room. We barely slept all night due to the excessive temperature in the room, there was no water available in the room and the bathroom was quite dirty On checking out we weren’t even asked how our stay was it was just okay bye, we really weren’t happy due to the excessive room temperature as it left both of us feeling unwell so we couldn’t enjoy our stay For such an expensive room for one night away it really made the night away unenjoyable as we couldn’t get a decent nights sleep due to how hot the room was Everything was so hot, even my contact lenses were too hot to put in the next morning it was really not an enjoyable stay and we are very disappointed
