Troy, Wurtsboro, visiting Le Poisson Rogue Mon, 15 October 2018

If you get "upgraded", I would recommend declining the upgrade if it envolves the 18th floor. Nothing spectacular for a view of the city either so it's not worth putting up with the never ending noise.

Liked: Staff was courteous. Rooms were clean. Hotel was very nice.
Disliked: We were "upgraded" to a room on the 18th floor. I don't think "upgrade" should've been used as an adjective to describe this change in rooms. I'm not sure how small the other rooms are in the hotel but this room was pretty small for an "upgrade". We've stayed in 50 hotels in NYC and understand that most rooms can be small. This just wasn't expected as an "upgrade". Then there was the noise in our room, 1808. It was like sleeping in a mechanical room. It had a sound of either a high volume plumbing/mechaincal riser in the wall or that an exhaust fan was directly above the floor causing the air to be choked down so much that it created turbulence noise. Whatever it was, it was non stop. It never changed the entire time we were there. It actually kept me awake in the morning when I was hoping for a few extra hours of sleep.

Liked: Very comfy and very little noise from outside or other guests. Was only a short walk to two subway lines, as well as to the delightful Greenwich Village.
Disliked: The aircon was a bit noisy.

Liked: Great location for Batter Park, 9/11 Museum & memorial, The High Line & The Hudson River.
Disliked: My booking was for 2 rooms as I was travelling with my Husband & Daughter on vacation. When I placed the Booking I asked for the 2 rooms to be on the same floor with nice views as the hotel boasts about views over the Hudson. Upon arrival our rooms were on the 3rd & 10th floor (couldn?t have been further apart) & our room overlooked the building site next door (I can provide photographs). I have been charged full price for this room whereas I feel it should be offered at a discounted price & both my requests appear to have been ignored. The kitchen was closed for the duration of our stay due to technical difficulties. Bathroom was tiny.

Liked: service was excellent. The entire team was extremely friendly and helpful and the location was great. just a 15 minutes walk to 9/11 memorial and tons of excellent bar and pubs around the place.
Disliked: the beds were very uncomfortable. I had a back ache in just 2 days because of the bed.

Liked: The service was excellent with all queries and requests promptly answered by courteous and professional staff. The rooftop bar offered unbelievable views of the New Jersey cityscape. Because of the location, the hotel is a great base to explore lower Manhattan by foot or more of Manhattan by subway
Disliked: Building work adjacent (see photo) although no noise whatsoever and didn't affect enjoyment at all.

Liked: The staff was super friendly and helpful
Disliked: Aircon was very loud and temperature control automatically switched on and off the aircon all night. Cleaning could be improved.
