If you get "upgraded", I would recommend declining the upgrade if it envolves the 18th floor. Nothing spectacular for a view of the city either so it's not worth putting up with the never ending noise.
Liked: Staff was courteous. Rooms were clean. Hotel was very nice.
Disliked: We were "upgraded" to a room on the 18th floor. I don't think "upgrade" should've been used as an adjective to describe this change in rooms. I'm not sure how small the other rooms are in the hotel but this room was pretty small for an "upgrade". We've stayed in 50 hotels in NYC and understand that most rooms can be small. This just wasn't expected as an "upgrade". Then there was the noise in our room, 1808. It was like sleeping in a mechanical room. It had a sound of either a high volume plumbing/mechaincal riser in the wall or that an exhaust fan was directly above the floor causing the air to be choked down so much that it created turbulence noise. Whatever it was, it was non stop. It never changed the entire time we were there. It actually kept me awake in the morning when I was hoping for a few extra hours of sleep.

not coming back
Liked: Location was good on the westside. Room was clean as expected from a 4star hotel.
food in restaurant was good.
Disliked: Reception had a bad attitude. Overall service was poor. Gym was tiny for someone who wants to work out and be healthy this gym is not working. Because of the Corona virus had to shorten my stay. Asked for a refund of the remaining nights. This was not possible he said. while he hasn't charged my stay yet. Very annoying. The manager attitude was poor and arrogant.

Decent hotel, good price for...
Liked: Very clean and on a surprisingly quiet street. The bar on the top floor was great as well. Staff were friendly enough.
Disliked: While booking there were multiple options for rooms. I chose the room with that said "city view" instead of the "interior view" paying appox. $20 extra for the view even though the room dimensions were the same. Our room ended up having an interior view anyhow, so I wasted $20 dollars.

Liked: The property as a whole was very nice, we chose this hotel based on the rooftop bar which was great.
Disliked: The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I?ve stayed at 2 star motels with better beds than this ?4 star?. And although I don?t blame the hotel for this, the fire alarm going off every couple of minutes kept us from getting restful sleep the next morning, went home and had to nap due to that and the crappy bed. Would not stay again.
