Historic St. Francisville Hotel

Liked: The staff was friendly and willing to please the guests.New mattress and updates of the property had begun.The breakfast and free dinner were excellent.Breakfast, tied the best, in our five state adventure.Shannon was wonderful. She is the best host that we encountered.The property sits on many acres with a small lake. There is fishing onsite.
Disliked: The property is old and needs updating.They have begun improving the property.In the future it will again be a grand hotel.Give them a chance if you're in the area visiting one of the plantations.

Liked: The best breakfast I have experienced in my travels. The hotel offered a real hot breafast with eggs, grits, & & waffles and not a just muffin & juice like the other hotel we stayed in recently. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on a lake so it was quite & peaceful but not very busy this time of year.

Four rooms later with no...

Liked: The lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful.
Disliked: First room the heater didn’t work. Second room had the strongest smell of marijuana. Third room the door swells and wouldn’t open. By the time we made it to the fourth room I thought it would be okay but when you flush the toilet the water came up instead of down. Luckily on the second flush it went down. The cable company they use closed down and they haven’t switched to a new cable service so there is no tv. As I lay here in the bed it sounds like we are staying at a night club. All I can hear is loud bass and music playing. There is no tv to drown out the noise. I would not recommend this hotel. Especially not if you are traveling with family or looking for a quiet place to relax. No relaxation here. Paying 80$ for the night I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. But even that price is too much for a room here.
