Ideally located in Times Square this Manhattan hotel has been around since 1930. With distinct influences of the Art Deco era in the design of the lobby and the exterior Hotel Edison offers Classic and Signature rooms and suites. Each room and suite features flat-screen cable TV. The private bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Air conditioning is also included. The Hotel Edison in Manhattan offers concierge service 24-hour business and fitness centers and a transportation desk. The Edison Ballroom provides event space. Room service is available for limited hours. The Rum House featuring a copper and wood themed design is only a minute away from Edison and offers live entertainment on occasion. We had a wonderful stay. Room was great and the location to get to almost any tourist attraction is perfect. I always love to stay at this hotel.

Liked: Staff was very helpful with questions about how to get to places, where to eat etc. - had a great stay.

Overall a great hotel if...

Liked: The location was excellent, you hop down of the hotel and you are at Times Square already. The rooms were small, but that's NY city standard, bathroom was reasonably new, decent size tv screen but no netflix and really fast elevators for the size of the hotel.
Disliked: The breakfast grab and go was very small for US standards, and hotel has no views to the city at all.

Location location location location in...

Liked: Location location location location. Steps from time square. Rooms were great and clean. Security was amazing. Door man were funny and great. Breakfast as an option at Carve was delightful. Staff were great. Restaurant and bar on site were handy.

No sleep for three nights....

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Horrible loud clanking noises all night. We think it was from the elevator system. The staff seemed well aware and also unable to resolve this for us in an acceptable way.

Adequate but we felt ripped...

Liked: Location. Reasonable rate for Times Square area. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Starbucks coffee in room.
Disliked: The very loud air conditioning that went on and off constantly with no controls in the room. We could not even hear the tv. Very annoying. The $40 “facility fee” was very unfair. The wine offered was not even at the hotel so not use-able for us. The breakfast was not even free - it was very nasty to add a $6.95 charge for breakfast - it should have been complimentary. This fee is very unfriendly and is simply a nasty cash-grab. When the rate posted at booking.com is $251 and the bill with taxes and fees comes to $337, this is unacceptable from a consumer standpoint. This room was adequate but very tiny and without charm or any frills.
