Overall very good; some minor...

Liked: Lovely rooms and lovely bistro. Overall good value
Disliked: Difficult to park and unload near the property, and no staff on hand to help. My room (Laroche) had an intermittent but persistent noise through the night. Perhaps a water pump or similar cutting in and out. But enough to keep me awake several hours.

great bar and outside area...

Liked: Room was very strange , it felt like we were sleeping in a converted shop and didnt feel part of the hotel at all , really disappointed in this aspect of the stay. Parking situation was poor , especially as it was raining.
Disliked: see above , parking and room

Pleasant Hotel but grossley overpriced

Liked: Convenience, staff in general
Disliked: We stayed one night for a family wedding, Hotel was very convenient for wedding and reception at the H-de V, our room was upgraded & had a very large and comfortable bed, there does not appear to be any rooms with views other than looking into or at other properties ! If you have any problems with stairs avoid the upper rooms, as with ours we had to go up and down a labyrinth of stairs to access. Car parking was convenient, but you do have to pay 10.00 per night for the privilege of it !! The resteraunt was large and tables were sufficiently spaced as per covid regs. We had lunch which very good but expensive, 90,00 for two courses each a gin & tonic & glass of house red, which did include a service charge. The staff in general were freindly and reception staff (Sam) in particular was extremely helpful, the exception was the Resteraunt/ bar manager, who in my opinion was most disagreeable and as UNHELPFUL as any one could be !!In short a pleasant enough hotel but hugely overpriced and dark & dungeon appearance to the inside, suffice it to say I wont be staying there again !

Excellent a lovely hotel.

Liked: The choice for breakfast was excellent as was the location to eat on the patio. The choice was for hot or cold food and a good variety.
Disliked: The service was sometimes hit and miss in terms of noting what you ordered. However all staff were very friendly and always helpful.

Short Stay

Liked: Good location, very friendly staff and breakfast served outdoors was a bonus
Disliked: The rooms could use some refurbishment and some rooms are only accessible via narrow corridors and stairs which would be difficult for some. The rooms were overpriced for the quality.
