I have stayed in many Hotel du Vins over the years and slowly the food and service is going downhill at a couple of the venues. Breakfast both here and in the Exeter hotel was lukewarm with scrambled eggs cold and inedible. Buffet selection average and service average. Such a shame as it used to be excellent and the rooms are amazing.

Liked: The rooms.
Disliked: Breakfast was awful.

Disliked: Quality of room fittings was disappointing. Mostly very squeaky floors and doors and noisy plumbing. More shabby than chic.

Disappointing for the money!

Liked: Bar is great and hotel staff lovely!
Disliked: Rooms very small for the money , running water noise through the room all night we were woken up by a fire alarm at 0600! Which felt like it never stopped. The room itself is boiling hot with no way of cooling it. Also the room was very dusty!
