Hotel Del Sol

The staff and atmosphere were amazing; loved the cookies and tea/coffee at check-in; Tiffany had great restaurant recommendations for us; the styling of the hotel was fun, plus it was quiet. The mattresses weren't the most comfortable I've ever slept on, but it was only one night and it wasn't UNcomfortable. Also, the toilets and the shower didn't drain very fast or completely, so since the hotel is such an old building, I'm assuming it is just old plumbing. Not a deal breaker, by any means. I would definitely stay there again.

Liked: Extremely overpriced for a very small room with no refrigerator, no A/C (was provided with a fan upon request) . Parking over priced so used a garage a few blocks away. Essentially a budget quality motel that has been spruced up. We were told rate was high because there was some type of convention on town so rooms were scarce. Meanwhile, surrounding companies had multiple vacancies but our booking was non-refundable.

Adequate

Liked: Cute hotel! Great location, close to some really good restaurants and a short drive from several famous places, and it was clean.
Disliked: The TV was confusing with two remotes, so we had to ask how it worked. The picture quality was pretty bad too. Tiny bathroom. Housekeeping came by our room at 9am to ask when we were checking out but checkout wasn’t until noon.

Superb

Liked: The atmosphere and the staff are always available. The breakfast was also abundant. The room was really comfortable. It could become cold but the heating works well.
Disliked: I would suggest to use less single-use plastic kitchenware for breakfast.

Spectacular

Liked: Beautiful, clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Shower was a bit tight.

Exceptional

It's fine and safe and...

Liked: The location was amazing and the staff member in the morning was lovely. I also appreciated the breakfast and the colors used throughout the hotel.
Disliked: For $200+ it was overpriced, loud, and the courtyard lights shined through my room all night. I couldn't adjust the bent blinds to make it dark in my room. Also you could hear everyone that walked by. Not the best experience. Also, the woman who checked me in was rude and unprofessional which was unfortunate as everyone else I met on the property was super nice.

Fun weekend stay, good value!
