After all, a practical stay...

Liked: Positives: Luggage storing before check-in, and after check-out. Friendly staff. It is located in a good and safe neighborhood, the Metro is 10 minutes walk away. The rooms are clean, and well maintained. You can ask for cleaning and bed sheet changing every day.
Disliked: The walls are very thin. We woke up every morning to other guests slamming the doors, and we heard eachother through the rooms. We were dissapointed in the internet service. It was constantly throwing us off every 5 minutes, it was unusable during evenings, the only time when we really needed it.

Liked: I had a clean, quiet room in a great location and neighborhood. It felt very safe. Good roomy shower. Good-sized sunny balcony (my room was on the back-side of the hotel) had a pleasant non-street outlook. Easy to walk to many popular sights or to catch public transport. 5-7 minute walk from Placa Catalunya where the airport bus stops. Good restaurant Mercat is just around the corner. Value for money in an expensive city.
Disliked: I wish there was a coffee machine for guests to get a cuppa. Not a big deal, but it would be nice.

Disliked: The elevator was not operating 2 different days. One morning we had to walk down four floors because the elevator wasn’t functioning, but later that day it was working. The next day the elevator WAS working, but when we returned from dinner, the night clerk said the elevator WASN’T working (NO MENTION OF AN ALTERNATE ELEVATOR)and we had to climb the stairs up 4 floors to our room. I’m 82 years old and experienced a frightening Supra ventricular cardiovascular event. We were checking out the next morning, so we called to see if the elevator was working. We were told that the elevator was still NOT functioning, but we were told we could use the Emergency elevator. I feel that the night clerk SHOULD have informed us of the EMERGENCY elevator the night before instead of telling us the elevator wasn’t working!!

Liked: The room was very small, yet clean, comfortable, Quiet.
Disliked: The doors are loud when closed and this starts roughly 7 AM.
