Hotel Café Restaurant De Posthoorn

Great location in center, good...

Liked: Location & look of hotel is great, including rhe sidewalk cafe. Breakfast was very good with friendly staff and the food & drinks were all refilled on time which was nice. Breads, fruits, meats, cheeses, all was fjne at breakfast. We found paid street parking near hotel, Sunday free parking. We had room in very nearby buiding.. No lift, not a problem, but 4th floor room could be problem for some. Good beds and good nights sleep. Room was clean but a bit cold, but very good quality wool blankets were in the closet!
Disliked: Room was smaller than expected. Room was cold and heating could be better. Bathroom was very small, actually too small. Room could use some decoration to make it feel cozy. TV mounted to the side not in easy viewing direction.

Liked: Such a lovely hotel in great location next to the canal. Have stayed a number of times over many years and they always have something wonderful to eat and cater for my vegan diet.

Lovely hotel in Dokkum...

Liked: Lovely hotel in a lovely location. I have stayed here often and always found it terrific. Evening meal was lovely.
Disliked: It's my fault but i didn't tell them in advance that i was vegan so the choices were limited this time. In the past they have surpassed my expectations when they provided lots of breakfast options.

Liked: The location is great. Right in the middle of town. The breakfast is awesome!
Disliked: The shower is a bit tight...when taller than 170..you might need to sit down to wash up.

Liked: Location was great and so was dinner. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke English. Bedroom had a desk with seat perfect for a laptop and following up on work emails.
Disliked: Room facilities were sufficient but could do with updating. For example, no shower curtain in my room and my room key was temperamental.
