Good stay if you need...

Liked: Room & bathroom were clean. Location is superb, close to Lidl, convenient bus stop.
Disliked: Room is extremely small. Of the 3 days I stayed, shared toilet was not clean on 1 day.

Superb

Liked: The room had good linen, comfortable bed, a nice large window with a good view of the neat street.Lighting was good to access stairs and for same level toilet and shower nearby and a handbasin was convenient in our roomThe hotel was busy at night into early am but we didn't find noise was disruptive in our room for sleeping and the atmosphere created was a happy and welcoming one.The staff provided information on how to get to Amsterdam central on a short bus ride from a bus stop about 8 minutes easy walk away. There were few restaurants and takeaways close by but the hotel ran a restaurant and you could pay for breakfast there. A supermarket was just across the street, too.
Disliked: The stairs to the second floor were steep and had narrow treads. The door hinges squeaked (needed oil). There was just enough room to walk around the end of the bed and the wardrobe could have had better hangers. Two pillows are good for sitting up in bed but we managed with the one provided. There was only one glass provided in the room, no kettle or cups to make tea or coffee and no small fridge if you planned to buy milk etc. during the stay. The toilet seat was very loose and the shower ran cold a long time before being luke warm, with just the right side tap working, it seemed. These were the only issues with the shared toilet and bathroom which otherwise were clean with soap provided and good access from the few rooms sharing.

You should not stay this...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The first floor is a bar, but it turns into a disco with loud music until 2 a.m. The noise is very loud and clearly heard from the room—I couldn’t believe a hotel like this actually exists. Also, the shower is shared, and there was no soap available, which I did not expect. The breakfast was terrible as well; we had to book in advance, but the options were very limited. I stayed one night for 104 euros, but it was definitely overpriced.

Bad experience

Liked: No breakfast included so can't rate.
Disliked: Small room was on third floor: no elevator so had to haul my big suitcase all the way up using steep and narrow stairs. Shared bathroom was in 2nd floor and had only a sink, 2 urinals and a toilet. No shower. Then, after getting home, i tought i had lost a present for my wife; sent a message to the hotel to ask if i might have left it there: never got a reply. I would definitely not ever go back there and will not recommend this hotel.
