Just ok

Liked: The location was great. The staff very polite and helpful.
Disliked: The windows extremely dirty you cannot see outside, yes we know it’s NY but still they could make an effort. The room was not very clean. Bathroom light was rusty and did not work, ventilation did not work. They did not change sheets and we stayed a week. This is a cheap hotel, don’t expect much.

Liked: The Hotel is super clean. We had room cleaning everyday. The location is fantastic. They have a receptionist 24/7, which makes the luggage deposit easy. The bed was super comfy. Plus: there is a private bathroom, with linen and toiletries included. They also have an hairdryer and an iron.

Liked: Even though the rooms are a little small, it was all clean, well distributed, large and comfortable bathroom.
Disliked: The cleaning staff was a bit rude knocking the door really hard to clean the room up while I was still in there. I didn't see any vending machines and of course there's no room service. But there's a Whole Foods a few steps away so you can buy water and snacks. Also, the lack of a safe bothered me a little.

Liked: Excellent value for downtown New York City. Terrific location, 15min walk from Penn Station where Amtrak delivers you into the heart of NYC and just 5m walk from the 28 Street subway station. For a bonus, a multilevel Whole Foods supermarket has just opened up over the road. Staff were really helpful. Hotel27 LuxUrban is one of those great midrange boutique hotels.
Disliked: Being really picky, the AC was a bit loud - but all hotel ACs are a bit loud.
