We loved the location and...

Liked: Location excellent right in town, room quite commodious and well appointed. Shower was great! We had a tiny kitchenette which was good for us. Lovely, old school, old west urban hotel ambience.
Disliked: No view in the 'garden view' room, no smart TV or streaming options I could find. Bed a bit too soft for me, but I like a harder bed. Parking costs extra, but you can move your car for street parking or pay a fee of $15 a day for parking.

Liked: A beautiful historical building. We stayed in one of the inside rooms (“garden” room), top floor and it was very peaceful. No view to speak of - it was like a rooftop “garden” but not really a garden. But I value the quietness more since most of the time I’m focused on activities outside the room. I also LOVED the enlarged prints of old journal entries!
Disliked: $3 water bottles. American hotels in general need to learn to offer 2 free bottles of water each day. It’s a healthy and appreciated gesture when it’s offered.

Comfortable, dog friendly, and super...

Liked: We loved the classic, yet super comfortable and laid back atmosphere. Super convenient location, walkable to so many things, and the room was very cozy - spacious enough, and had great lighting from the huge window. Very dog friendly. Would 100% stay here again.
Disliked: We didn't have any issues with parking - got a spot right out front - but it could be a concern for some people during high season.

Liked: My room was facing the court yard so it was really quiet - no traffic noise. Great staff!
Disliked: Only street side parking available.

Historical Hood River Hotel

Liked: Charming hotel for a charming town. Right in the heart of Hood River's little downtown.
Disliked: It was very loud due to the old building an the train tracks being so close. They gave ear plugs and had a fan in the room, so take advantage of those.

Cute and comfortable historical hotel…great...

Liked: Fun and modern vibe within a historical building. Cute, renovated rooms with original historical feel. Comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great location downtown with easy walking to restaurants and shops.
Disliked: The older wall/window to the outside made for a noisy street, but only mildly bothersome (ear plugs were available). No free parking.

Liked: Loved the vibe, the cleanliness, Tara at the reception, and the comfortable bedding.
Disliked: It’s an old building so it’s not at all sound proofed, you can hear everything in the hallways and the traffic/train outside. They do provide earplugs so that was helpful.
