Overall a very nice place to stay. We only stayed one night but it was very nice as well as was the staff.
Liked: Lovely room; very comfortable for our needs. Bathroom was big enough for two ladies to get ready in.

HILTON? Really? A Nasty Experience.
Liked: The location.
Disliked: Booking.com said “No pets” but oh, they had many. Nasty pet-hair matted in carpets and smells everywhere. Our floor, #2, smelled like canned dog food. I literally gagged. The front desk was so rude I thought she was kidding at first! But, then, she made my daughter cry for stepping on the rolling cart we were about to use for luggage. The woman screamed “OFF!!” like she could’ve been talking to one of those giant dogs. There was a sign taped to the peeling wallpaper behind our toilet in room 238. it read, PLUNGER UNDER BATHROOM SINK. CALL DESK IF YOU NEED HELP.”I was charged $100.00 extra and not refunded until they could “Check for damages.”. This was bothersome on a few levels——mainly because there were damages all over the property I didn’t want to pay for! I asked them to check the room while I waited but that was a big N-O. Breakfast was cleaned off and gone by 8:45 when we came down.

THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS, VERY GOOD,...
Liked: The breakfast was DELICIOUS and offered variety each morning. The food was well prepared and always plentiful. The Apple Juice was the best I've every tasted. The cook and kitchen staff were friendly, accommodating and courteous. Always served the guest with a smile.
Disliked: The MANNER in which the Front Desk staff handled my Check-in fees. When I initially made my reservation SEVERAL months ago, I read the Hotel Policy, and Fee sections VERY carefully before I reserved my room. I was checking to see if there was a Deposit or and Incidental Fee required up front in addition to the charge for my Room and applicable taxes. There was NO STIPULATION on either the Booking.com website or on the Homewood Suites website regarding an Incidental Fee or Deposit. Yet when I arrived at the hotel, and during my Check-In, I was told by the young, white lady who checked me in that there was a $100.00 Incidental Fee that would be charged to the Debit card I used to pay for my room in addition to the charge for the Room and taxes. I explained to the young lady that there was NO STIPULATION about an Incidental Fee or Deposit being required at check in on either the booking.com website or the Hotel's website. So I asked to speak to the Manager. I was then referred to Adrian Claybrooks, Front Office Manager, I explained to Mr. Claybrooks that since I DIDN't expect to pay a $!00 Incidental/Deposit Fee. or at most ONLY the $20.00 Deposit fee that the young, black man who I'd spoken with when I'd called the Hotel several weeks previous to my arrival had said that I would be charged, that I DID NOT have enough money in my Checkings account to cover the $!00 Incidental Fee. I asked Mr. C;laybrooks if he could possible waive the $100.00 fee and he said, "NO." So because Mr. Claybrook, who checked me in on 5/12/23, charged my Checkings account ($371.14, for Room cost plus taxes, and the additional $100.00 Incidental Fee, my Checkings account, as I am writing this on Monday 5/15, is CURRENTLY OVERDRAWN by $74.55. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY LEFT IN MY ACCOUNT TO GET A CAB FROM THE HOTEL TO THE GREYHOUND BUS TERMINAL ON 5/14/23 to get back home to NC!!

roaches in my room.
Liked: it was a place to sleep
Disliked: i found a roaches in my room and when I confronted the office they switched me rooms but had a attitude then when it was brought up to the manager instead of making it right he just told me I could check out
