Aside from a few small...

Liked: The room was large and comfortable. Staff that assisted were all nice. Breakfast was decent. Did not have to wait for anything. Located away from main area of Bakersfield but was a quick-easy drive and worth taking the extra time. Lots of charging points and outlets.
Disliked: Hair in the shower. Obviously not as clean as it should be. Was gross to see that much hair plastered on the walls. Broken shampoo dispenser on the floor of the shower. No body soap. Dispenser was completely empty. Only one wash cloth for two people. Brought all points to the attention of the person on duty. Was assure that it would be taken care of. Attended our race and came back the second night anticipating resolve. Found the same hair in the shower. Broken shampoo dispenser in the same spot. Body wash dispenser was still empty. - There was ONE fresh new wash cloth. They had taken the other leaving two people to either share or go without. - Encountered homeless people at the west lobby door. Manager asked them to leave. Worst part is, the parking lot where I had to park had a lot of broken glass scattered through several parking spaces. Glass was from broken windows from vehicles.

Liked: I didn't think the breakfast was very good. The breakfast sandwich had sausage but no egg. The cheese omelot was overcooked and not very tasty.

Liked: It was very convenient and pleasant to stay at Home2 Suites in Bakersfield. The room was equiped with everything the traveler could possibly need and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice.

Liked: Great location for our needs for this trip. I was very impressed with the design and functionality of the room, and the storage in the room.
Disliked: The system was down when we arrived and it made for a long wait to check in. There was only one person working the front desk and she seemed overwhelmed by the situation. We were only given when card key and no paperwork when checking in.
