Holiday Inn OTTAWA EAST

My duvet cover had dirt stains on it so I asked for a new one; got one without a cover which had even darker stains on it. Asked several times after for a clean one (over the phone and at the desk) and never got one. Ended up sleeping with just the sheet but it definitely made me question how clean everything else was.

Liked: The lobby looks nice
Disliked: We work in hospitality too and we are expecting that a holiday inn will be a great choice for us to stay just for a night from a very long drive even it’s expensive and the cost for a pet is crazy. We finally get in the room and every time I always check if the pillow case is clean but I saw something and I thought it’s just a hair or a dirt but it’s a larva. Unacceptable. This is the first time I saw this in a hotel. I called the front desk and say what I found out and the guy told me to bring the pillow downstairs so I was like why should I bring it downstairs? Someone should come to our room and check it. And the guys said the house person already went home and he added “I can come upstairs if that’s too much to ask” for me it’s not too much to ask but at the first place this shouldn’t happen and we are so tired already and we still have to deal with this. Finally the guy came to our room and check it then he said sorry and he offered a room change and a breakfast. At first I don’t want to accept the breakfast thinking about that larva but what else can go wrong right? So in the morning we had our breakfast, the turkey sausage is super oily. It’s like they baked it, put on a rack to cool it down and the fat became solid and served it in the buffet. For short, we left disappointed with Holiday Inn.
