Convenient location, ok for one...

Liked: Convenient location. Luggage storage was helpful as our flight wasn’t scheduled until the evening so it allowed us to spend the day exploring the area. Some staff were friendly and approachable, in particular the shuttle driver who pointed us in the right direction at the airport.
Disliked: Unfortunately, some staff on the reception desk were very unfriendly and rude. There were guests making considerable noise outside our room for an extended period late at night.Breakfast was cold and slightly limited.

Exceptional

Good deal for short stays.

Liked: It's a comfortable stay for the price you pay. The rooms appear modern and clean. The front desk is never cluttered and the staff are always willing to help with a good attitude. We used the airport shuttle both in the evening and the morning and both times the shuttle was on time and not crowded at all. Shuttle comes at half hour intervals and is pretty reliable. The dine-in restaurant offers a decent variety of food + large portions, and the breakfast buffet for $19 per person is actually a pretty great hotel breakfast buffet with a good amount of hot food options and very friendly service.
Disliked: No free waters in the room but the gym seems to be open 24/7 and there's hot and cold water available there.

Overall good, would stay again

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful. It was ideal after getting into EWR with the airport shuttle
Disliked: Only dislike is that it's not really possible to get to/from without a car (other than to/from airport with shuttle) but I understand that's a common thing in Newark generally and I was able to get round this by just going back to the airport and then airtrain/NJ transit from there, as I was travelling without a car
