Holiday Inn New York City - Times Square By IHG

Passable

Liked: It was well located if you want to be in the eye of the storm. Very close to time square, close to all attractions. The staff was 10/10, very welcoming.
Disliked: The wifi stopped working after the first day and the elevator was very slow. We were lucky that we stayed on the 3rd floor, so we just used the stairs, but I can’t imagine staying way up and waiting for that long to go down.

Disliked: Elevators are not sufficient for amount of guests. We had booked for 4 people and only had 2 towels. Very small rooms

Nicely located but small

Liked: Location, close proximity to Times Square, public transport, shops, restaurants
Disliked: Homeless people lurking around at the entrance, very small room and passages, hard to maneuver luggage

Very good

I would recommend the hotel.

Liked: The location, the friendly stuff, the early check in without extra charge and the fact that they kept our luggage after he checked out, for free.
Disliked: The space right out the hotel. There were a lot of people gathered there smoking.

Overall good, with the proviso...

Liked: Convenient & comfortable if not small rooms.
Disliked: Only 2 lifts in 35 story building (not enough).Also, disappointing that patrons, need to get passed various obviously drug affected people, hanging around the front Entrance, not good. This issue needs attention urgently.

Could be better or worse

Liked: Staff accommodating. Room fine. Location convenient.
Disliked: The air conditioner in the first room wasn’t right. In the second room, it also was not very good as it was only blowing out from half the unit. The breakfast was overpriced, $40 through Booking, and they ran out of oatmeal.
