Needs updating but a good...

Liked: Nice staff made the stay worthwhile. Facilities old and worn, no steam control in bathroom. Bed was horrid - I was in agony. Breakfast very good although staff member did not come up to our table once but maybe not her job? It is a huge facility to update - I would not want to do it - it could be a 5 star but would cost so much. Felt extra prices not visible except in small print. extra costs for water and a bag o chips with about 8 chips in.
Disliked: Update beds and linen. Staff do an amazing job keeping outdated facilities clean - update door bottoms, bathroom. The shower gel was horrid - I am all for saving the earth but the food based shower gel/shampoo is the last "flavor" I would use. More welcoming items like microwave, safe, fridge in room.

Liked: This holiday inn is structurally defective.. the floor was noisy. I didn't sleep all night as a result of the noisy floor from upstairs.
Disliked: Nothing.
