On going out to find a restaurant you quickly realise there aren't any and head back to hotel. However menu is cynical, not much choice and very expensive.
Liked: Staff were all very helpful, especially the waiter.
Disliked: Food poor and expensive.

I would never stay here...
Liked: Nothing at all - I would never stay in this hotel ever again and I do not recommend it. If you ever need a refund, good luck!
Disliked: The staff were not warm or friendly. The tv in our room did not work due to the aerial or a connection issue. After approximately an hour of arriving, myself and my daughter went to speak to a man on reception called Eranda. Whilst at reception, another customer was getting too close, so I politely asked him if he would move back a bit to give us a bit of privacy. The customer then began ranting and shouting at me which made myself and my daughter (who has Autism) feel extremely uncomfortable. The staff member just ignored the situation and said nothing. After this happened, I questioned the receptionist about why he did nothing about the aggressive customer and he just gave excuses. The customer then went outside and involved 2 other men and they all came to the reception area (which is also the bar) and the receptionist left us to go and serve them alcohol. The men kept giving us nasty looks and watching us whilst we were at reception. I decided it was in our best interest to leave the hotel. I have PTSD and situations like this trigger it and my daughter has autism and she was anxious and frightened. The customer had become angry and raised his voice at us in front of his own children, including a young baby and his wife! His wife said ‘not now’. But it didn’t stop him to continue to rant.Because it was so late, there were no other hotels available so I had to drive three hours back home. This was over a month ago and I have been pursuing a refund ever since but every time I call the hotel, I am put on hold and given excuses. The company who own the hotel (IHG) do not have a physical address to write to and told me they cannot refund me either. They did say that I am entitled to a refund (and I do have a voice recording of them saying this) but Holiday Inn Expess in Poole have to give it to me directly. I have had to resort to contacting Booking.com and going through my local CAB.
