Holiday Inn Express New Albany Hotel By IHG

I've stayed in several Hampton Inns, but this one must have very thin walls! The room doors slammed shut very hard and loud, and you could easily hear people talking in the hallways. I did not get a good night's sleep this time.

Liked: The room was very clean.
Disliked: It was one of the loudest hotels I've ever stayed in.

Comfy beds, cheated out of...

Liked: We were so happy to have adjoining rooms as we were traveling with three children. We were terribly disappointed because the whole reason for our overnight stay was to let the kids get a rest in the middle of a ten hour trip and have a swim in the beautiful pool that is pictured. THAT was the WHOLE reason we picked your hotel! Half way point and a swim! Well, that didn’t happen because the pool room was under repair.We had two crying four year olds and a very sad nine year old. We made the best of it but I really feel like there should have been some compensation. That was THE amenity we were most excited about. It is 90 degrees and summer! :( desk person was friendly and apologetic. Didn’t change the situation for us.Hopefully breakfast will be good.
Disliked: Discussed in what did you like. Also the towels are thin and rough. 5 of us in the two rooms and only two big shower towels.

Liked: The lady that take care of breakfast is AWESOME. She made sure everything was working and kept replenishing whatever had ran out. Very friendly.
Disliked: We were put in room 332. The room was ok accept for the bathroom mirror covered the plugs which was odd. I could not use my curling irons to do my hair. That needs to change. The air conditioning unit is loud, that was not good in the middle of night. We stayed back in May and to switch rooms because the shade fell down so they moved us to another room and that room was good. So maybe next time, I will request that room.

Liked: So orderly Bed was so comfortable and staff very helpful ! Gave me a printed list of local restaurants! Definitely a great atmosphere
