Even though my stay was short, I had a wonderful stay. I really enjoyed myself. The staff was really helpful and pleasant. I will definitely come again to stay and recommend anybody to book a room :)

Did not meet basic quality...
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: location, breakfast area, room (toilet valve was broken and set off in the middle or the night multiple times with loud noise, unfriendly staff, elevators too slow and crowded

Cost, very good.
Liked: Check-in staff was fantastic!!
Disliked: Fruit and sausage container was empty on breakfast buffet, no small trash container near coffee. Potatoes were cold. A $50.00 hold was put on my card upon arrival. However, I was not told about it. That is flat out wrong!!

Disliked: Room was too small and the noise from outside was very disgusting. Breakfast was poor.

Liked: Good location ! Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very hectic but good! Staff was kind and helpful.
Disliked: Very expensive but I suppose that is the norm for NYC. The room was a bit damp feeling for some reason..... maybe condensation from having the A.C. off when not in use....I'm not sure, but it was clean enough.

Stay at this location and...
Liked: Well, it's very expensive to stay in NY, and this hotel's a little bashed but the staff are delightful. There was work going on outside when we stayed there (and it was hot!) so the breakout space outside (which looks like a seating area in the photos) was covered in scaffold and was dark - this meant the small, overcrowded breakfast area was stuffed! The location is near the Hudson (just up from the Intrepid Museum) and is quite industrial (a lot of auto places) but walk up towards Times Square etc and in a few minutes you have restaurants and cafes. There was a big food fair on the weekend we were there, with roads closed off and a great atmosphere. The heart of the city is only about 20 mins walk (the subway is about 10 mins) so you're on the edge of everything. Take the free ferry to Staten Island and come back by New York water taxi to Midtown - you get a great seascape and view of the Statue of Liberty, Jersey Shore and the Manhattan skyline, all for $4.20.
Disliked: A bigger breakfast area would be nice, but we were there at a busy time!
