Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clearwater US 19 North

When we returned to room following concert, we found the toilet leaking. This was noticed by the sound of water flowing upon flushing and the 1/2 inch water buildup beneath the toilet tank. Reported immediately to the front desk. They sent a young woman to investigate. She mopped the floor with towels and the front desk assured me that they would keep the floor dry through the night. They said they could provide another room if I wanted to move. Considering that we'd be using the toilet a few times through the night and morning, we opted to move. This was all at approximately 12 midnight. Second room was fine but on a noisy corner. Asked for an adjustment to our bill at checkout and was told that we had received a discounted rate on booking and that the hotel could do nothing as they hadn't yet been paid. All in all, a bad experience with no adjustment at all for the inconvenience of having to move everything to a new room at midnight.

Disliked: The pool was not clean and they never had it cleaned and open to use during the entire stay. This was very disappointing since we had 3 grandchildren with us who mainly wanted to swim. We kept enquiring about the pool daily.
