Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Star City

Hotel was very nice, and would definitely return if visiting Birmingham again.

Liked: Staff were lovely; very clean and room was lovely.
Disliked: Breakfast was chaotic and ran out of things and had to wait a while to be refilled. We had a disabled room but my sister was still not able to get in the shower as she was not able to lift leg to get in bath and the bath was very slippery and needed a non slip mat.

Great value for the stay

Liked: The staff were very nice and accommodating.I had a staff member over here me not like the breakfast options and then offered to make me something else
Disliked: Breakfast options could be better

Good for an overnight stay.

Liked: There was a wedding party and only 1 receptionist who struggled, but was very good and helpful. She quickly changed our room as the window was broken.
Disliked: More staff. 1 receptionist and 1 to run the bar.

Disliked: Upon arrival and at check-in, was informed my room wasn’t available and I was re-booked to stay at a different Holiday Inn, fifteen minutes drive from original location. This meant that I was twenty-five minutes drive from my place of work, and an additional £15 worth of Uber fare for each journey (two journeys per day) over the course of my three day trip.

Disliked: The room on a whole was clean, that cair in the room was covered in unpleasant stains and very off putting, room 109
