Liked: I did not try the breakfast in the hotel.The hotel is in a very convenient location, with the underground station and numerous bus stops just a short walk away. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
Disliked: Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury should consider providing more professional training to the housekeeping and maintenance teams. I encountered several issues during my stay:1.Overheated Shower Water: The lower shower head with the flexible pipe dispensed extremely hot water, almost boiling. I contacted housekeeping, the front desk, and operators repeatedly in the first two days. Although the housekeeping team visited twice, they couldn’t resolve the issue. I requested technical assistance, but no staff arrived. Eventually, I had to use the fixed shower head, which was positioned too high for me to adjust comfortably. This made the shower experience unpleasant. I suggest better training for maintenance staff to address such problems promptly and efficiently.2.Environmental Towel Policy: Although the hotel encouraged guests to save the earth together by reusing towels, only one short towel rack was available, making it difficult to dry wet towels. As a result, I had no choice but to request fresh ones daily. Installing additional towel racks could promote eco-friendliness more effectively.3.Housekeeping Handling Personal Items: On the second-to-last day of my stay, housekeeping disposed of my shopping bags—which included a shoe box and five gift bags. I placed them on the floor far from the trash bins. These had been kept on the floor due to limited storage space and were intended for gifting to friends and family. Each bag cost 25p, so their loss was disappointing and wasteful. I believe the housekeeping team would benefit from further training regarding the handling of guests' personal belongings.
