Clean motel great for a...

Liked: Room had a clean/renovated bathroom with a small coffee maker and a fridge for your snacks. It was quiet even though it was by a relatively busy road. Check in/ check out process was quick and the manager was very friendly!
Disliked: Like pretty much all of Santa Cruz, property is dated - a/c is a loud window unit which helped cool the room before going bed but you can’t sleep if it’s running all the time. WiFi was spotty.

Liked: Staff was friendly and our room was clean
Disliked: We used booking.com to reserve a stsy close to the beach. There was a problem with our reservation so we had to find other accommodation and it was not near the beach.

Great motel experience

Liked: After a long day of driving, this was a great idea to book a room in Hitching Post Studios Inn. We have never stayed in a motel before, and this was a very positive expirience. The check in was fast and straightforward. The room was spacious, bathroom newly renovated, bed large and super comfortable. It's only a 10 min drive to the boardwalk.
Disliked: The only downside is that you have to ask for the kitchenware (even for cups and cutlery). We only wanted to make coffee, and while there are paper cups provided, there are no teaspoons. We managed because we were packing in the morning and didn't want to go to the front desk just for a teaspoon.

Liked: good location!

Convenient location close to freeway...

Liked: Location was convenient off the highway and there was a grocery store nearby as well as a few restaurants. The room itself had been updated with full sized kitchen appliances. The bed was comfortable. The shower was large with plenty of hot water.
Disliked: It was nice to have the kitchen but you needed to check out kitchen supplies for $5, otherwise kitchen is completely empty - no silverware, cups, etc.
