Disappointing

Asked for refund because facilities...

Liked: Checked out and went to another facility
Disliked: Horrible experience

Nice grounds, unprofessional and impolite

Liked: Horrible guest service from the start, maybe because I kept seeing the same lady. Got here early and room was not ready, that’s understandable, was told I’d receive a text when ready. 5 minutes before checkout I got the text, had to wait in the long line and received keys, no information about hotel. Got to room and realized given two queens instead of a king, called concierge and told to come back to switch and then told by same lady that I asked for two queens and if I wanted a king I’d have to check out now and then wait a few hours. So rude and unpleasant and unprofessional and no offers to help or make it right. Had not driven all the way from Bay Area and already had belongings in room would have switched to one closer to downtown since chose this one with pool but closed for construction.

Why having the constitution area...

For a hotel that should...

Liked: I liked the at the property had a gift shop, styling salon and fitness center on site.
Disliked: The pool was still under construction even though on line said it would be done on March 29th. During our stay the TV also stopped working. We had to call twice and no one ever came. We finally fixed it on our own. The hot water and water pressure went out when I was hoping to take a shower. Additionally the grill pilot light went out when we were hoping to order dinner one night at the restaurant in the hotel. We had to leave and go somewhere else because they couldn’t get it going. It is expensive to stay here, I would probably not go back. There are other hotels on the beach. For the money, next time I would try one of those.

Comfortable.

Liked: It’s beautiful. Trains come by during the day but did not hear any during the night.
Disliked: Toilet had a hard time flushing and was a low toilet not used to those anymore.

Over priced rooms, overpriced parking,...

Liked: Rooms are spacious, but dated. Train directly behind hotels and goes often and blows horn as there are road crossings all thru Santa Barbara.
Disliked: No hot water for 2 days, two days of cold showers. Finally moved us to another room because they could not fix. Parking is $42 per night, very expensive for the area. Beach have to cross a busy street to access. Public beach lots of homeless people. Pool closed for renovation, Pickle ball courts closed due to painting lines. Bicycle use limited to a few hours per day and not open till 9:00 am, so an early morning ride before your work or other activities is not possible. Manager did not even come out to discuss these issues when we checked out.
