Hilton Mystic

The overall stay at the Mystic was quite impressive. The staff was friendly and professional at the front desk. We had a 3 day stay and on our first day we had a problem in our room late that night with the heating system. We reported to the front desk and they were on the problem right away. Then, unfortunately, they replaced the heating unit but the problem was a little more than they expected it, so we were accommodated to another room right next door to our room, which was wonderful - the service was quick and efficient. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were clean; fresh linen was wonderful. The location of the hotel is great - it's right in the heart of everything you need. We would highly recommend this hotel and rate it excellent. Thanks once again for our great wonderful stay - would come again :o) Mr.& Mrs Sain

Great location, less than hospitable...

Liked: It was clean, well maintained, great location. The pool was nice.
Disliked: I got the breakfast package for me and my family. It wasn’t recorded correctly and the waitress made me show her my receipt instead of calling the front desk herself. There was no hospitality in the wait staff. When you arrive there’s no sign telling you what to do and I had to ask for a menu, coffee, a child cup for my toddler son, a high chair. The waitress was also talking disrespectfully about other patrons. It was bizarre. I thought perhaps it was just a bad day, but it all happened again the next day. I thought it was just me but then I saw the same thing happen to other individuals and families.

One of the best hotels...

Liked: This is my go-to hotel when I visit Mystic, CT. The hotel location is great & near so many stores, restaurants and attractions. The hotel is always staffed with amazing & helpful people. Bar in the hotel is located near fire pits & makes for a perfect for relaxation & chatting.
Disliked: Through a upgrade with Booking.com, I got a king room with a jetted tub. It ended up being totally not worth the upgrade. The jetted tub wasn’t anything spectacular & the room cost too much. I should have just stayed with the original room that I booked.

Liked: Good location. Room was spacious and clean. Liked having a fridge and microwave.
Disliked: Pool is small, crowded and only open til 9pm for kids. No adults were there to swim 9-10pm so maybe letting older kids stay in would have been nice. Restaurant was limited, not enough tables for breakfast (powdered eggs? Ick) a complimentary continental breakfast with just muffins, yogurt and fruit would have been better. Toilet in our room has a poor strength flush.

Liked: The location was perfect.
Disliked: When we arrived without two young children, they told us the pool was closed and would open the next day at 2. It did open at 2pm but was ridiculously cold and not enjoyable.

Disliked: Rooms were dirty, bathroom had hair all over it. Pool was freezing and pool area was flooded with water

Great location and a nice...

Liked: The location is convenient and the size of the rooms was very nice. Very nice staff and the hotel was spotless.
Disliked: The mattress was hard as a rock, even by hotel standards. Also we liked the pool but the water was freezing. Could have been an off day though.
