Hilton London Paddington

Great location but disappointing.

Liked: The location of this hotel was perfect for us, coming off a long flight from Australia and the Heathrow Express one afternoon and heading out to Cornwall the next morning by train from Paddington. The reception staff member was also wonderful, warm and welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: The hotel, though having some lovely features in the entry lobby is initially unwelcoming, with no staff available to help with suitcases up the entry steps, despite the fact that the lift entry from the station was out of order. (However, a concierge did help us with this on departure.)Upstairs the hotel feels very much in need of renovation, with very tired carpeted areas and furnishings, no-longer-comfortable chairs and a bathroom that badly needed updating. The first thing we did was have a shower and managed to soak the entire bathroom floor from a serious leak, presumably through the grouting around the shower door.

Amazing stay with impressive top...

Liked: The service service service!!! You can find nice facilities everywhere but the service here really really sets you apart. I've been many places and this is top level! Thank you everyone!
Disliked: Teeny tiny waste bins that don't hold enough. Could use wash clothes in the bathroom please!!

A convenient and comfortable option...

Liked: Very convenient to a major rail station for transport to both Heathrow and the Southeast. The staff were great. Food was expensive but tasty. I was frankly surprised at how pleased I was.
Disliked: The temperature control kept the room too cold on a wet London day. Inadequate bedding to keep oneself truly comfortable.

Disliked: The front office staff were not a great representative of Hilton brand.
